For analytics stuff, I can highly recommend Matomo (former Piwick) which is a great free open-source tool you can easily self-host and all the data stays on the server only.
As I don’t like Google Analytics and nowadays it’s even forbidden to use in Austria/ within the EU – Matomo is a great alternative.

As for file saving, I can recommend NextCloud/ Owncloud which is also easy to self-host, open-source and free. Files only stay on your chosen hosting server. As I’m not the biggest fan of uploading stuff on OneDrive & co.

In reply to Rachel. I don't know, as I don't use CoSchedule for Pinterest. I find Tailwind better/easier to use for Pinterest, but CoSchedule is much better for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Personally, I think it's worth having both, but if I could only have one, I would definitely choose CoSchedule.

Would you say you get more clicks scheduling your pins with Tailwind or CoSchedule? Is it worth having to pay for both?

Yay! So pleased you found this helpful, Ashley. Yes, you definitely need a security plugin!! Vaultpress is for your backups and Akismet handles spam, but you need a security plugin to make sure you don’t get hacked. Just curious if All-in-one WP security is needed if I already have Vaultpress and Akismet? I thought those 2 handled the security things but I’m no techie so appreciate any guidance you have!
