Ok I have tested it! It seems that when you archive the user from 1 list, it does NOT archive them in the other list.

Hopefully someone else finds this helpful 🙂

That’s a good question… and the honest answer is – I don’t know! I have only ever had one list, so it’s not something I’ve been able to test. What I suggest you do is subscribe to both your lists with your own email address and then archive yourself on one of the lists. Then check the other list to see if you are still on there… and you will have your answer. Let us know what you find out! Eb 🙂

If I archive subscribers from 1 list and they are in another list, will it archive them from both lists or just 1?

For example,

I have user A in list 1 and list 2. If I archive users in list 1, will user A remain in list 2 or be archived?

I guess what i’m asking is, when you archive, do you archive a user universally or are you just archiving a list?

You are welcome – so please you found it useful! I recommend you archive rather than permanently delete to ensure you don’t make an irreversible mistake. A blogging friend on mine once accidentally hit ‘permanently delete’ on her whole list – of 15000+ subscribers! Eb 🙂

I just have one question I’m hoping you can help with. Why do you recommend archiving instead of permanently deleted unsubscribed contacts? Many thanks
