That’s a good question and a tricky answer! In reality there is no way of knowing what the search volumes are, and so whether they are worthy of a 5 or not. Obviously most of the time they are going to have high volumes – since they are the most popular questions – but everything is relative! But to give you a more practical answer, I typically use my common sense and give them either a 4 or a 5, depending on whether I felt it was a popular question or a super popular question. Sometimes I will flip over into Google Trends and check it against a benchmark – as per this post: https://www.productiveblogging.com/keyword-research-step-by-step Above all, remember keyword research is as much an art as it is a science and intuition / common sense are important tools.
